A new microblog

It’s almost 2am and I’m still working on this website. This usually happens when I build something new, but after all these years in this industry it still feels good to just play around with tools yourself.

So what’s the new deal about this site? I guess the key concept is minimalism:

• minimal domain: max.hn
• minimal styling: no webfont, inline CSS, no client JS
• minimal size: ~8kb
• minimal content

The last point is (currently) not only true for the amount of content that you can find on here, but I also plan to publish shorter pieces more frequently.

In contrast to my old website I will also write about a variety of topics besides software: music, politics, photography and more. You can think of this site as my self-hosted twitter without a character limit and much better performance.

Alright I’ll call it a day now. My next post will probably be about how I made this website super fast without paying any money.
