I simplified the navigation on my website even further. I liked the previous design of having the navigation in the footer, since it then doubled as a suggestion to further explore the site after reading the main content. But my navigation size is quite small and I prefer categorizing the content in parent pages anyway.

That’s why I now decided toput the navigation at the top of the page. No jumping on the page, no overlay, just a few links to click on. Keep it simple. :)

I’m still unsure about having the language switch in the footer. According to my stats, half of my visitors are in Germany, while the other half is from all over the world. I guess I’ll continue to post in both languages, randomly choosing when to use which one.
